About

openCITT is a work in progress to create an (as the name implies) open car-infotainment-system including any of those cool features like multimedia, GPS-navigation (using map data from the OpenStreetMap project), Bluetooth mobile phone connection, mobile internet connectivity and so on. It is intended to drive your car-pc providing a powerful and versatile, yet intuitivly controlled, user interface to give you easy access to all the features a car-pc based car infotainment system may provide.

openCITT car infotainment system is done as a hobby and made available under open source license to share it with other enthusiasts around the world. It does not (maybe yet) either claim to be usable in any way, nor to be a professional project in any way.

openCITT car infotainment system is freely available, licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2.

For a short overview of the current features have a look at the screenshots section, i.e. current Navi Screenshot.
