-openCITT is still alive, more than ever. There have been lots of improvements without getting too much attention. The shape of SVN trunk got quite stable meanwhile. So if you feel curious, it has never been easier and more exciting to give openCITT a try. -there is a completely new dimension of openCITT now there are the first openNNGP projects showing up. See the new Hardware section for details.

-a sign of life, there is work done getting OpenNNGP working and improve overall performance for a first usable release

-openCITT celebrates it's first snapshot prerelease (v0.1.0-pre1). It is mostly intended for testing portability issues, so feel free to give it a try. It is available from the project's Sourceforge Page download area. You will find some basic installation instructions here Please report any problems you encounter to the bugtracker.

-some wiki rework. Code changes will now be tracked on the ToDo page. -there is some info concerning the next (first) stable release. Though there is no release schedule, yet.

-full screen anti aliasing has arrived in openCITT. This is part of improving look'n'feel of openCITT. See the difference in opengl.

-non-opengl driver is no longer supported because development focuses on opengl based user interface.

-the first working opengl feature is in trunk. to see it, check out the latest code from svn and select the cdisplay_driver_sdl_opengl driver this has to be done hardcoded in cmain.cpp -screenshots will follow...

-there is a working config file mechanism, now. It is already used for configuring dataconnectors, navi and bord computer data sources

-gps data reading and data connection handling working like a charm. Now you can take openCITT for a ride and enjoy the moving map.

-got some progress on gps data reading from gpsd -therefor we got some kind of new framework for data connection handling, see the new BC-Module code using the framework

-some more work to get automake toolchain running, should be ok now (this one was really bugging me) -changes to the add_song part of the media player. looks nice, but nothing really happeneing, yet btw, code is not too nice, I know. Let's first get it working, then there will be a big cleanup

-removed kdevelop related files from svn. Now the project is a standard automake-based project. -included player subdirectory to the automake project. So now automake cares about player as well.

-made the timer and input driver modular as well. Now the code should be ways more portable

-today we got a huge code rewrite making display driver fully modular. So now you can add your own display driver module (i.e. for using a different display interface than SDL) -cleaned code quite a bit -resolved all compiler warnings
